The ac meter icon appears on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.
It’s a tiny white dot that looks like a compass pointing in the direction you hold it.
If you swipe left, it shows you a “Go” icon that indicates your iPhone is charging.
If it swipes down, it turns the power button off.
The ac meter is a quick and simple way to let Apple know your battery is low.
When your iPhone detects a low battery level, the display will flash an orange or green “Go”.
This indicates your battery status, and if you swipe to the right or left, the ac meter will display the current battery level.
If your iPhone senses your iPad is charging, the green dot will flash the “Charge” icon.
Apple is working on an update to iOS 11 that will bring the ac meters to all devices.
We’ll let you know when it’s ready.
Apple also added an ability to “lock” the acmeter to a specific location on your device.
You’ll have to unlock your device with the lock icon on the top-right corner of the screen, or by swiping up on the lock button on your home screen.
