A lot of people have been asking me which AMM meters to buy.
Here’s my answer: if you’re looking to record a few hundred feet of audio (or less), you probably shouldn’t bother with an AMM.
For that, you should look at a smaller, more compact AMM like the AudioBrite Mini.
The Mini is also an excellent value.
The company has a few different models, including the $399 $499 AudioBite Plus, which is a better value than its $499 sibling, the AudioPlus Mini.
And if you want to record music (like I do), you’ll probably want to look into a high-end audio system, like a $1,299 $1.99 Audio-Technica ATH-M30i.
For those looking for a great all-around AMM that’ll work with all your microphones, I recommend the $799 Audio-Tech M9s, which are a little less expensive but a lot more versatile.
Finally, there’s the $2,299 Audio-Brite Plus, and I would definitely recommend the audio system that comes with it, especially if you need to record an album.
The AMM isn’t necessarily the best choice for audio recording, but it’s a nice entry point for anyone who wants to learn how to record with a microphone.
